About
The goal of this project was to develop a vision on payment interaction. The touchstone is a wearable artefact that functions only when worn by its rightful owner. The scanner in the wristband identifies its carrier when conducting a payment. The interface consists of a projection screen, which transforms the artefact into a piece of jewelry when not in use.
Design Process
When this project started, contactless payment had just arrived and wearables just entered the market. In this project I designed a vision on payment interactions and artifacts for 2020. After creating a moodboard that encapsulated my vision on the atmosphere of 2020, I started ideating about the role of technology in these future payment interactions. I defined three core values as a basis for the ideation and translated these into a variety of concepts.
